The Pre-Scan of Windows Repair
Windows Repair works in two stages, a pre-scan that allows you to perform general repairs and then repair Windows.
These checks are optional but if your system is damaged, it is strongly recommended to do so.
Pre-scan includes the following steps:
1- A restart called “power reset”
2- A checkdisk to make sure the file system has no errors
3- Repairing Windows variables
4- An SFC repair to check the integrity of Windows system files.
Restart “Power Reset”
If you use a computer that has become very slow, it is advisable to remove the battery for a few minutes to reset some components and volatile memory.
For that :
1- Turn off your computer
2- Unplug the power cord, if it is a laptop remove the battery (see instructions if necessary).
3- With the power cord disconnected or the battery removed, press the power button for a few seconds, as if you wanted to turn on the power. This will drain all the electricity in the computer.
4- Re-plug everything in or replace the laptop battery.
Checkdisk and SFC
The other two steps are to perform a checkdisk and System File Check (SFC) to ensure that no system damage is present.
Step 3 is checkdisk or chkdsk, a system check utility that checks the file system and no inconsistencies or errors are present.
A restart of Windows is necessary to carry out the analysis which can last 1h30.
If you are experiencing slowness and problems, we advise you to pair this checkdisk with a check of your hard disk.
As for the SFC, it verifies the system files, if they are not damaged or corrupted.
If this is the case, SFC attempts to repair them, the scan does not require a restart of Windows.

In this menu, different options, you can then start the repair of your choice or we offer pre-selected repairs to perform according to scenarios.
